Step-by-step guides for teachers (Gamemasters) and students (Players), from signing up to building campaigns, running quizzes and managing a subscription.

What RPGLMS does

RPGLMS is a learning management system that runs a course as a role-playing campaign. Teachers build the curriculum or draft it with the AI Wizard, students play through it, and the gradebook records what they completed and scored. It runs on iOS, Android and the web, and joining a Party is always free.

Build a course as a campaign

A teacher builds a course (a House) from units (Campaigns), and the builder lays each unit out as a map of chapters (Paths) and lessons (Nodes). A unit has a framing concept, a chapter has a guiding question, and a lesson has one learning objective, which students work through as a short run of steps and close with a quiz.

Draft a unit with the AI Wizard

The teacher describes a unit in their own words, and the Wizard drafts its chapters, lessons, lesson steps and quiz questions from the documents added to the course’s Source Library. New lessons stay drafts until the teacher publishes them. AI generation is included from the Patron plan up, and a Free account can spend credit that an administrator has granted it. Building and running a course is free.

Students play through the unit

A student opens the unit map, follows a chapter, and works each lesson in order: they read or watch, solve a clue, say what they think, and pass the lesson’s quiz. Shards level up a character the student designed. Classmates’ reflections open once the student has posted their own.

A gradebook for the class

A Party is a cohort. The teacher creates one on a course and shares its six-character join code, and the roster fills as students join. The gradebook shows each student’s lesson completion, Trial scores and passes, and Rift score. Hearts, timers, attempt limits and a minimum difficulty are the teacher’s to set.
